  • Armed Forces Act, 1958 सशस्त्र बलों को उस क्षेत्र में विशेष शक्तियाँ देता है जिसे केंद्र या राज्य ने धारा 3 के अंतर्गत अशांत (disturbed) घोषित किया हो।
  • 26 सितंबर 2026 को गृह मंत्रालय (Ministry of Home Affairs) ने इसे 1 अक्टूबर से छह महीने के लिए बढ़ा दिया: पाँच घाटी जिलों के 13 पुलिस थानों को छोड़कर पूरे मणिपुर में, और नागालैंड तथा अरुणाचल प्रदेश के कुछ भागों में।
